Sephora Sale Picks: Spring 2020

Sephora Sale Picks: Spring 2020

by Andrea Pacini April 26, 2020

As a former beauty editor & blogger, I've been into products for as long as I can remember - hair, nails, skin, makeup, fragrance, I love it all. I believe that - like cooking, baking, crafting or any other form of creation, cosmetics are another extension of personal expression. Shading, contouring and blending truly are studies in art for me.

We do a lot of deep soul work around here, but skincare and make-up have been a lifelong passion for me and there's room for both! That said, I'm keeping things light this week with a fun post on my Sephora sale picks. I'm definitely not as product-crazed as I once was. As my life path has shifted and evolved, I now prefer higher-quality products that I know will work over the latest and greatest palette or highlighter.

These are a few of my must-haves - with emphasis on skincare. I use Sephora's twice-yearly 20% discount (20% off for Rouge, 15% for VIB, 10% for insiders) to stock up on my tried and trues.

If you're not feeling big box beauty stores, that's cool.

My top drugstore picks:

  • Aztec Healing Clay Mask: YEP! This does the trick and then some. My husband even notices a difference in my skin after using this - it does wonders to clarify and draw out impurities. The only drawback is you have to mix it yourself and it can be a bit messy and cumbersome - but it's pretty amazing when you get past that.
  • I love a good peel-off mask, they're so satisfying. This Unicorn Vitamin C mask is my favorite and definitely brightens.
  • I use a jade roller and gua sha tool religiously every morning - they do wonders do reduce puffiness, add lift and tone - this set is a great value!
  • This squalane oil is just as effective as comparable products that are double the cost.
  • I use Revlon's Colorstay lip liner (in raisin) regularly.
  • I like e.l.f. brushes for the price.
  • I love plain old aloe vera gel for moisture, but with the sanitizer shortage, it's currently a bit hard to find at a fair price.

What are your favorite Sephora and drugstore products?

  • Gather your supplies. You'll need a large bowl filled halfway with water and 4-12 de-stemmed blooms of your favorite flower(s). Notes: Roses are said to have the highest vibration of any flower.
  • Find a comfortable seat on the ground on a yoga mat or cushion - either inside or outside. You may want to place a rolled blanket underneath your sits bones to help support you and keep your pelvic bowl and spine in alignment. Arrange your supplies as desired around your space with the bowl of water directly in front of you.

The Energetics of Chasing

⁣Whether it’s love, good health, a solid relationship, serenity, freedom, a title, respect, or a certain number in the bank or on the scale - anything you chase will always be outside of you. ⁣

Apart from you. ⁣
A Perpetual Separation.⁣

The energy of chasing by nature keeps you in pursuit and the desired "thing" running away from you. This creates more resistance & frustration and actually widens the gap between you and what you want.
